Christine DeLeon: MUSIC PROGRAMS

A mix of seasonally relevant, upbeat and engaging songs from all decades. Memory care, rehabilitation, assisted and independent living residents are invited and encouraged to participate in Q&A, dance moves from a seated position and familiar and fun tunes for singing along.

A selection of upbeat and engaging songs performed in the individual rooms of patients with mobility challenges. Accompanied by a staff member, patients who wish to participate will be encouraged and invited to sing along to these favorite and familiar songs. Requests are honored if possible.

A selection of beloved songs from the "Jazz Age" of America in the 1920s when a Vaudeville show was the best game in town. Interesting discussions about the music and the music makers of the time accompany fun and familiar songs for group singing. Audience members are also invited to participate in a peppy "Charleston" dance session.

Songs that celebrate the beauty of Hawaii which became our 50th state on August 21, 1959. Interesting discussions about the history of the Islands and the history of the Ukulele are paired with bright songs of the sunshine and beaches so plentiful in Hawaii. Audience members are also invited to participate in a Hula dance session (from a seated position if preferred).
